About Ronald Hsu, MD

Ronald Hsu, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine doctor and gastroenterologist at Capitol GI, providing complete gastroenterology care to adults in Roseville, California, and throughout Placer County.

Dr. Hsu earned his medical degree at the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff (now part of Cardiff University) in the United Kingdom. After graduation, he moved to the United States and completed a residency in internal medicine at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco. 

Before entering private practice, Dr. Hsu completed a gastroenterology fellowship and therapeutic endoscopy training at Prince of Wales Hospital in Randwick, Australia, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of California Davis Medical Center.

Dr. Hsu joined the Capitol GI team in 2000. When he isn’t meeting with patients or developing treatment plans, he contributes his knowledge and expertise to up-and-coming medical students. Dr. Hsu is an academic faculty member at the University of California Davis School of Medicine, holding the title of clinical professor of medicine since 2007.

Dr. Hsu holds board certifications in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He welcomes anyone experiencing digestive health problems to Capitol GI.
